How Our Pricing Works
At YourShirts, every order is priced based on the garments you choose, the branding method required, and the quantity being ordered.
We believe in transparent pricing and clear advice, so this guide explains how our quotations are built.
With over 16 years of experience and all production completed in-house at our Ipswich workshop, we can recommend the most suitable garments and decoration methods for your business.
1. The Garment Cost
The garment cost is the price of the blank clothing before any branding is added.
What affects garment cost?- The product selected
- The brand
- The quantity ordered
- The garment sizes required
- Supplier availability
Each garment type is priced according to its own quantity because the purchase cost of each garment is different.
10 Polo Shirts, 10 Hoodies and 5 T-Shirts would each be priced using the quantity break for that specific garment.
2. The Decoration Cost
The decoration cost is the price of applying your logo, text or design to the garments.
Decoration methods may include- Embroidery
- Screen Printing
- DTF Printing
- Digital Transfer Printing
- Sublimation
- Quantity
- Decoration method
- Design size
- Number of logo positions
- Artwork complexity
- Left chest
- Large back
- Sleeve
- Right chest
- Names and numbers
3. Mixed Garment Orders & Quantity Pricing
Garments are priced by product, but identical decorations are grouped together across the order.
This is useful when ordering a mixture of T-shirts, hoodies, polos, fleeces or jackets with the same logo.
Example order| Garment | Quantity | Decoration |
|---|---|---|
| Polo Shirts | 10 | Left Chest Logo |
| Hoodies | 10 | Left Chest Logo |
| T-Shirts | 5 | Left Chest Logo |
This means the decoration benefits from the 25-piece quantity break rather than being charged as three separate runs of 10, 10 and 5.
Why this helps- Fairer mixed-garment pricing
- Better use of quantity breaks
- Ideal for staff uniform orders
- Clearer quote breakdowns
4. Product & Decoration Quantity Brackets
Our pricing is based on quantity brackets, so the higher the order quantity, the better the price usually becomes.
We use quantity brackets for both garment pricing and decoration pricing. This helps customers understand why ordering a higher quantity can reduce the unit cost.
Typical quantity brackets- 1 item
- 4+ items
- 10+ items
- 25+ items
- 50+ items
- 75+ items
- 100+ items
- 250+ items
Garment prices are calculated using the relevant product quantity bracket. Decoration prices are calculated using the total number of identical decorations being produced.
Example product quantity savingsAs quantities increase, the unit cost of many garments reduces. Different products and brands will vary, but the example below demonstrates how larger quantities can benefit from improved pricing.
| Quantity Bracket | Approx. Saving vs Single Item |
|---|---|
| 1 item | 0% |
| 4+ items | 4% |
| 10+ items | 9% |
| 25+ items | 13% |
| 50+ items | 18% |
| 75+ items | 22% |
| 100+ items | 27% |
| 250+ items | 36% +Contact Us |
Decoration pricing also works in quantity brackets. Rather than charging each garment type separately, we look at the total number of identical decorations being produced.
| Total Identical Decorations | Approx. Saving vs Single Item Decoration |
|---|---|
| 1 Logo | 0% |
| 4+ Logos | 5% |
| 10+ Logos | 10% |
| 25+ Logos | 15% |
| 50+ Logos | 20% |
| 75+ Logos | 25% |
| 100+ Logos | 30% |
| 250+ Logos | 35% +Contact Us |
10 Polo Shirts with a left chest logo
10 Hoodies with the same left chest logo
5 T-Shirts with the same left chest logo
Whilst the garments are priced individually, the decoration quantity becomes 25 identical logos. This allows the decoration to benefit from the 25+ quantity bracket rather than being charged as three separate decoration runs.
5. Choosing the Right Branding Method
We recommend the method that gives the best finish, durability and value for your garments.
Embroidery
Ideal for polo shirts, fleeces, jackets, softshells, workwear and caps.
Screen Printing
Ideal for larger garment quantities, T-shirts, hoodies, event clothing and promotional clothing.
DTF & Transfer Printing
Ideal for smaller quantities, full colour logos, detailed artwork, individual names and numbers.
Sublimation
Suitable for specialist polyester garments where vibrant, permanent colour reproduction is required.
6. Artwork & Setup Charges
Some artwork needs preparing before it can be professionally produced.
This can include- Embroidery digitising
- Artwork clean-up
- Vector redraws
- Print file preparation
- Production-ready file conversion
7. Repeat Orders
Repeat orders are usually quicker and simpler once your artwork has already been set up.
Once artwork and embroidery files have been created, we can often use the same setup again on future orders.
Repeat order benefits- Quicker quoting
- Simpler approvals
- Existing artwork on file
- Easier staff top-ups
This helps streamline production and keeps repeat ordering straightforward.
8. Samples & Sizing
We strongly recommend checking garment sizes before approving your order.
Customised garments cannot normally be returned due to incorrect sizing, so visiting our showroom can really help.
In our showroom you can compare- Quality
- Fit
- Fabric weight
- Colours
- Branding suitability
9. Why Prices Can Vary
Two orders with the same number of garments can still be priced differently.
Pricing can vary because of- Garment brand
- Decoration method
- Number of logo positions
- Stitch count
- Print size
- Artwork preparation
- Personalisation
- Delivery requirements
This is why we provide tailored quotations rather than using a one-price-fits-all approach.
10. Comparing Quotes Fairly
We are happy to compare quotes, but it needs to be like-for-like.
To compare accurately, we would need to see- Exact garment brand
- Product code
- Quantity
- Decoration method
- Decoration positions
- Setup charges
- Delivery costs
- VAT status
- Turnaround times
